Nazi costume was his Big Mistake

During the first part of the documentary “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Love” which premiered on Netflix last Thursday (8), Prince Harry recalled the occasion when he dressed up as a Nazi officer for a costume party in 2005. and classified it as one of the biggest mistakes of his life.

The youngest son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana expressed his regret for his attitude in the documentary series about him and his wife, Meghan Markle, former actress, now Duchess of Sussex.

Aged 20 at the time, the records of Harry dressed in costume wearing an armband adorned with a swastika shocked and made news around the world. The prince states that this was probably one of the biggest mistakes in his life, “I felt very embarrassed”. The photo of the tasteless costume even made the cover of the famous British newspaper The Sun, under the headline “Harry the Nazi.”

The prince recalls that his father forced him to visit the facilities of the former Auschwitz concentration camp, in Germany. In addition to watching the film “Schindler's List” (1993) and meeting one of the survivors of the Holocaust, which cruelly killed around six million Jews, according to TV Senado.

The first three episodes of the documentary series are now available on the streaming platform and the last three will premiere next Thursday, December 15th.
