Tickets for Paramore's Rio concert sell out in less than 30 minutes

Just like in São Paulo, tickets for Paramore's show in Rio de Janeiro on March 9, 2023 are sold out. Tickets went on sale this Monday (10) at 10 am. But after exactly 27 minutes, all tickets for the group's performance in the Marvelous City had already been sold.

The show will take place on March 9, 2023. Prices ranged from R$300 (floor, half-price) to R$800 (premium floor, full price).

In addition to Rio de Janeiro, the band will also perform in São Paulo on March 11th and tickets are also sold out.

The band recently officially released their first new song since their 2017 album After Laughter. Paramore's new single, “This is Why,” has now arrived—just as the Hayley Williams-fronted pop-rockers had promised. A new era has arrived.

As revealed alongside the new song on Wednesday (September 28), the track shares its title with Paramore's sixth studio album This Is Why, which drops on February 10, 2023.

About the new song, Williams explains in a press release: “'This Is Why' was the last song we wrote for the album. To be honest, I was so tired of writing lyrics, but Taylor convinced Zac and I that we should work on this last idea. What came out of it was the title track for the whole album.”

She adds: “It sums up the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having only survived the last 3 or 4 years. Planet, that humans would have found it within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic, or something.”

Williams, who embarked on a brief solo career last year, has been preparing fans for Paramore’s return. A few weeks ago, the band shared the title and release date for “This Is Why.” Earlier this week, Williams framed the song in a note to fans. In October, Paramore will kick off its first tour in four years.
