Bruna Marquezine shares photos of her romantic partner in “Blue Beetle”

This Wednesday (15), Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine shared on her Instagram stories the first images of Xolo Maridueña, her romantic partner in “Blue Beetle”, a DC Comics film.Have you seen the leaked photos of…”, wrote the actress, who is part of the cast of the feature film, and reacted to the images with a “Seriously” and “Oh daddy“, when reposting photos of Jaimes Reyes' character, who will be his co-star. In the images, the actor appears in the hero's full costume, with and without a helmet.

Bruna Marquezine has been confirmed for the film “Blue Beetle” since March, which is scheduled to premiere on August 18, 2023. The actress will play Jenny, who will be the daughter of the character described as “Mrs. K”, and could be Victoria Kord, played by Susan Sarandon, one of the villains in the film and will play the romantic partner of Xolo Maridueña. Before the DC film, Marquezine almost played Supergirl in the film The Flash, but came in second place in the auditions to be part of the cast. She recently said about her rejection of the audition: “It wasn't meant to be.”

The film's cast includes the main characters, Xolo Maridueña, played by Jaimes Reyes, Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, Bruna Marquezine, who plays Jenny, the protagonist's love interest, George Lopes as Uncle Rudy, Adriana Barraza as the hero's grandfather, Elpidia Carrillo as Rocio and Damián Alcazar as Alberto. The first behind-the-scenes images of the film have already started to be published on social media, showing a bit of the destruction and chaos that awaits and will be experienced by the hero, Xolo Maridueña. On the DCEU News Twitter, a spoiler was shared showing a bus cut in half on the streets of Atlanta. Blue Beetle is being directed by Angel Manuel Soto, with a script by Mexican writer Gareth Dunnet – Alcocer, who wrote the Scarface remake.
