The second season of the series will be set in Italy

HBO's satirical dark comedy series will be back for a new-look second season. As previously reported, the second season of 'The White Lotus' will be set in a new resort of the fictional franchise around the world, bringing with it new characters and unusual situations. This Thursday (20) the long-awaited destination was revealed, Italy!

Variety has revealed that the second season will take place in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, Sicily. In this way, the series will leave Hawaii and all the staff that fans met in the first season behind. Variety also specified which real-life resort will appear as the new unit 'The White Lotus'.

The name of the hotel is “Four Seasons San Domenico Palace”, in the city of Taormina, Sicily. Just like it was done in the first season of the series, a hotel of the American chain Four Seasons will dub as the resort of the attraction.

The cast of the second season will feature the return of Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie), a standout from the debut year, and several new guests at the hotel. Among the newcomers are Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Michael Imperioli ('The Sopranos'), F. Murray Abraham ('Mythic Quest'), Adam DiMarco ('The Magicians'), Tom Hollander ('Pirates of the Caribbean') and Haley Lu Richardson ('Almost 18').

Starring Murray Bartlett (Looking), Connie Britton (Nashville), Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective), Fred Hechinger (Eighth Grade), Jake Lacy (Girls), Brittany O’Grady (Little Voice), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Steve Zahn (Treme), the series follows several hotel guests over the course of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful staff and the idyllic locale itself.
