Kourtney Kardashian's absence from her wedding sparks controversy

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got married on Sunday (15), they were photographed by the paparazzi leaving the court in Santa Barbara. Travis' father, Randy, and Kourtney's grandmother, Mary Jo Campbell are in attendance. After the wedding, Travis and Kourtney went to the restaurant with Kourtney's grandmother, Mary Jo, in Montecito.

One detail that caught a lot of attention was that Kourtney's children were not present. The socialite is mother to Maison, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7. According to reports, the children were with their father, Scott Disick.

Kourtney Kardashian has been facing backlash for leaving her kids out of such a special moment, especially since the Kardashian-Jenner family opted to skip their engagement celebration in October 2021. At the time, the proposal was made on Montecito Beach surrounded by roses and candles, and Travis presented Kourtney with an oval-cut diamond ring. In the previous episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kourtney broke the news of her engagement to her kids via FaceTime, while Travis' children Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16, and his stepdaughter Atiana, 22, were in attendance. During the episode, Scott revealed that his kids were upset about not being part of the celebration. “[As crianças] were upset. They didn't understand why they weren't there. I hope they get invited to the wedding.”he said.

Travis Barker's daughter, Alabama, did a live video showing the post-ceremony with Kourtney and Travis. Kourtney's family was at the Billboard Music Awards and did not attend the wedding. The couple had already married once in Las Vegas and made it official at the California courthouse. The couple were also seen in a black lowrider convertible with a “just married” sign. The lovebirds plan to hold a big ceremony in Italy.
