After the premiere of the soap opera Pantanal, on March 28th, the rumors that Jesuíta Barbosa and Alanis Guillen gained even more strength. The actor, who was enjoying the samba school parades in Rio de Janeiro, spoke in an interview with the magazine “Who”, about the success of the soap opera: ”We are happy with the success of the soap opera, people are watching it. It is a work that is a saga, we need some time to understand what happens. I am defending mine (laughs)”.

Regarding the rumors that he is having an affair with his romantic partner Alanis Gullen, the actor said:People get confused. I hope this gives the soap opera some energy and people watch it.”

The rumors began after the actor ended a seven-year relationship with photographer Fábio Audi. The actor, who does not like to share his personal life, even said on the show “Conversation with Bial”, who was bisexual and who was “very gay”. In October of last year, Jesuit said in an interview with the magazine “GQ”, who was going through a phase “hetero”: ”They are phases of life. In that program, it was a phase. Now I'm actually pretty straight.”. Alanis also came out as “bi” a month before Jesuit’s interview.

The actors, who are neighbors in Rio, are keeping their romance low-key. According to sources close to the couple, they are very close. The two were recently photographed together by their co-star José Loreto, who plays Tadeu in the plot, at a dinner with other co-stars. Also in the photo is actress Bella Campos, who plays Muda.

In the first version of the novel, The wild romance between Jove and Juma is the link between the Leôncio and Marruá families, weakened over the years by the deaths of Gil, Maria and Juma's brother, Chico. The two will still live the great love story, as in the first version, released in 1990 by the now-defunct Manchete network. In this remake, the text by Benedito Ruy Barbosa was adapted by Bruno Luperi.
