Billie Eilish hits 1 billion streams

American singer Billie Eilish has reached the 1 billion streams mark for the fourth time with the song “Everything I Wanted” on Spotify. The song was released in November 2019, composed in partnership with his brother Finneas O'Connell and was the winner of the Record of the Year category at the 2021 Grammys. Watch the clip below:

Billie is also on the list of pre-nominees for the 2022 Oscar in the category of Best Original Song with the song “No Time To Die”, composed for the film “007- No Time to Die”. The work was also written in partnership with his brother and will compete with compositions by Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, U2 and H.E.R. The final list of nominees for the 2022 Oscars will only be announced on February 8th and the ceremony will take place on March 27th in Los Angeles. Watch the clip for “No Time To Die” below:

The 20-year-old artist also appears in another Oscar category: best documentary feature. The film “Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry” exposes what was happening behind the scenes during the American singer’s creative process while producing her first studio album: “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”. The work was directed by RJ Cutler, known for producing the film “Listen To Me Marlon” which addresses the acting method adopted by the late actor Marlon Brando.

In addition to the album, whose creative process was covered in the documentary, Eilish also produced the album “Happier Than Ever”, released in 2021. In 2019, he received the awards for New Artist of the Year and Favorite Alternative Rock Artist at the American Music Awards.
