What is Chegou Bem on iPhone?

According to Apple, the “Arrived Safely” feature on the iPhone is designed to automatically notify someone that their iPhone has arrived. Additionally, the feature allows you to choose the details that person can see if you successfully complete the Arrived Safely session.

Similarly, “Chegou Bem” sends a request for you to track whether someone arrived safely, but if their iPhone does not arrive as expected, you can see the location, battery percentage, cell signal and other details of their iPhone. In this way, these security measures can serve as an additional protection in the routine of those who have the device.

It's worth remembering that the feature is available for iOS 17 or later on both the sender's and recipient's devices.

How does Chegagou Bem work on iPhone?

The iPhone’s “Arrived Well” feature works through the messaging app that comes with all devices. However, the feature can be used in two ways: with a route-based session or a timer-based session. When you use the tool with the route option, your contact can receive information such as: destination and estimated arrival time.

On the other hand, there may also be a lack of such information, which would be a way of alerting about something that is not right. In addition, the monitored contact can make an Emergency SOS call during the session.

When your Chegou Bem session is timer-based, your contact will receive information about the time you started the timer and the time it ends. They will also be alerted if you do not respond to the timer prompts or if you make an Emergency SOS call while using Chegou Bem.

Therefore, it is possible to configure in both ways the information you want to share with your contact when the Chegou Bem session does not end as expected.

How to activate Chegou Bem on iPhone

Time needed: 2 minutes

Access the Messages App
Go to the Messages app on your iPhone, tap “All Messages.” On the next screen, tap the icon at the top right corner of the screen to edit a message.
Find the “Arrived Safely” feature
After clicking on the icon to write a message, go to the “+” icon at the bottom of the screen. Then, click on the downward arrow that says “plus” and select the “Checked in Well” feature.
Configure messages for the selected contact
Now, just set up the information to be shared in case you don't arrive. Apple has set two options to select from:
Limited Data: shares your current location and details about the battery and network signal of your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Complete Data: shares the route you took and the locations of where your iPhone was unlocked and when your Apple Watch was last removed. Plus all Limited data.
Choose a contact
Choose a contact to send the “You Arrived Well” message to. In this section, you can enter the subject and a comment. After that, just send the message to ensure that the person is following your route or the time to get to the location, as you have configured.
