A Successful Creative Career in Wandinha

The fans of Jenna Ortega go crazy! The actress, announced as executive producer for the second season of the series “Wandinha”, success of Netflix, explained how he intends to have more creative control of the program from now on. In an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter”, the young woman explained: “When I arrived in Wandinha, I was really firm and made it clear that everything I had to say mattered and I was heard”.

Ortega continued saying: “And as the show continued to run, all of us (the crew and producers) came to understand each other better and it became a really collaborative experience, and I feel really lucky to be able to be there for the next season early, to have the ability to discuss scripts and give suggestions”.

Jenna Ortega confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she will produce the next season of “Wandinha”.

Previously, the actress admitted to having already modified lines from the scripts and removed scenes that did not seem to match the aura of her character. Jenna says that, in set, There were times when she became unprofessional, in a sense where she started altering her character's lines. She says: “The script supervisor thought I was going with something and then I had to sit down with the writers and they were like, 'Wait, what happened to the scene?'. And I would have to explain why I couldn't do certain things. I became very, very protective of her.”.

In addition to Jenna Ortega, the cast of the series “Wandinha” is formed by Catherine Zeta-Jones (“Chicago” and “The Terminal”) and Luis Guzman (“Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” and “Zeroing Life”) as the protagonist's parents, Morticia and Gomez. Fred Armisen (“Portlandia” and “Super Mario Bros. The Movie”) like Uncle Chico. It also has the participation of Christina Ricci (Wandinha from the films “Addams Family” of the 1990s, and co-starred “Gasparzinho, the Little Ghost Comrade”) and Gwendoline Christie (“Game of Thrones” and “Sandman”) as teachers at School Never Again.

The first season of “Wandinha” has eight episodes and is available on Netflix.

According to the website “Omelet”, the series has already been renewed for a 2nd season, which has no set premiere date.
