Actor Jason David Frank, legendary Green Power Ranger, dies aged 49

Actor Jason David Frank, famous for playing the Green Power Ranger in the franchise, died at the age of 49 last Saturday (19). The information was confirmed by a close friend of the actor and the star's representatives.

The cause of death was not disclosed. According to Justine Hunt, his representative, he died in Texas. The actor's advisor asked for respect for the privacy of family and friends.

Jason became known for playing the character Tommy Oliver, the legendary green ranger, in the classic series Power Rangers in the 90s. Those who followed the show in the 90s fondly remember the character who was one of the most popular in the series.

The actor was present in the original version and reprized the role of Oliver in other seasons and spin-offs such as Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo and Power Rangers DinoThunder. He also appeared in films, specials and finally in the reboot of the series in 2017. In addition to wearing the green uniform, he also wore other colors such as red, white and black.
