Actors listed for Superman: Legacy Find out who!

The new DC movie “Superman: Legacy” has everything to mark a new era of superhero films in A.D. With its release awaited by a legion of fans, the new film by the first comic book hero will have james gunn as director.

A film with such importance for the company requires a strong cast. With the right person behind the script and direction, the company wants to get the choices of actors for the film right. According to “The Hollywood Reporter“, some names are already being considered.

The roles of the main characters are already being chosen. According to the report, names for the roles of Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Lex Luthor are being speculated and tests are already being scheduled.

The first name to be mentioned is that of the young actor David Corenswet (Pearl and The Politician). He is one of the main options to play Clark Kent/Superman. According to THR, her tests for the role are already scheduled for the beginning of June.

In the case of Lois Lane, an important character within the Superman universe, the dispute promises to be greater. Among the names considered for the role were: Emma Mackey (Sex Education), Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton) and Samara Weaving (Scream 6). In this case, no forecast was given for auditions and tests.

For the story's antagonist, Lex Luthor, DC appears to have a name forwarded: Nicholas Hoult (X-men) seems like the right choice for the role.

Still, production details are under lock and key and Gunn himself and representatives from the Warner studio say they are no closer to defining the cast. On his Twitter, James Gunn reinforces that nothing is defined yet: “For all of you asking, I would never comment on who is or isn't auditioning for a role. That's solely the actor's business and not something I would make public unless they did it first after the fact (like Glenn Howerton or Zachary Levi when they auditioned for Star-Lord).”

According to the director and screenwriter, only one name has been defined so far: “For now, only one person has been cast in Superman: Legacy, and it's not any of the regular characters in Superman's world.”

Despite this, we know that pre-production for the film has already started and filming will begin in January 2024, according to Gunn himself. The premiere is scheduled for 2025.
