Elon Musk on Monday denied the rumors that he had an extramarital relationship with Nicole Shanahan, the wife of Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. The Tesla CEO has been discredited lately because of his private life. What exactly is going on around the richest man on earth?

According to anonymous sources from business newspaper The Wall Street Journal, Musk had an affair with Nicole Shanahan, the wife of Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. Musk denies these rumors via Twitter. He calls the allegations “complete nonsense” and reports that he was recently at a party with Brin.

Musk, who has been in the news in recent months mainly because he made a $44 billion takeover bid on Twitter but then abandoned the purchase, says Brin’s wife has only seen a number of times in recent years. “Always with other people, nothing romantic.”

In May, Business Insider revealed that space company SpaceX would have paid a flight attendant $ 250,000 (converted about 236,000 euros) after she had accused Musk of transgressive behavior. The incident allegedly took place in 2016 on board one of SpaceX’s business jets. Musk had groped the flight attendant and showed his genitals. He also promised the woman a horse in exchange for an erotic massage.

After two years, she filed an official complaint against Musk. According to the woman, her career chances were reduced after the incident. SpaceX then proposed to buy out its employment contract for $250,000, on the condition that it would not disclose anything about the event.

Last month it was announced that Musk has secretly become a father of twins, according to sources from the website Insider. A few weeks before the birth of his second child with singer Grimes, the twins were born, the site discovered through the birth certificates of the children. The mother of the twins is Shivon Zilis, who knows Musk from the tech world.

Musk has not officially confirmed the news, but did say on Twitter that he is doing his best to do something about the falling birth rate. “Too few births is the greatest danger to our community.”

The 34-year-old Grimes and the 51-year-old Musk broke up in September last year after three years. They then decided to give their relationship another chance. At the beginning of this year, they became parents of their second child together. The girl, named Y, was born with the help of a surrogate mother. Two years ago, the couple had a son named X Æ A-Xii, with the nickname X.

Musk’s eldest daughter Vivian no longer bears her father’s last name. She asked for the name change a few days after her eighteenth birthday. That application also concerned the first name, because Vivian is transgender and therefore no longer wants to be known by her old first name.

In the request, Vivian cited her gender identity and the fact that she “no longer wants to be connected to her biological father in any way” as reasons for requesting a new first and last name. The request was approved in June. It’s not clear what went wrong between Musk and his child.

The Tesla founder came under fire in 2020 for two tweets in which he wrote to stand behind transgender people, but called the changing pronouns “an aesthetic nightmare.”

Space company SpaceX fired several employees last month who collaborated on a critical open letter about Musk. That say three anonymous SpaceX employees to The New York Times. The open letter referred, among other things, to recent allegations of sexual misconduct in which Musk was involved.

The employees also complained about the founder’s behavior on Twitter. For example, Musk has been sued by a group of Twitter investors, who believe that he has manipulated the company’s share price. “Elon’s behavior in public space is a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, especially in recent weeks,” the letter reads. “He is seen as the face of SpaceX.

Every tweet Elon sends is basically a public statement from the company.”
