After criticism for wearing oversized clothing, Bella Campos speaks out on social media

Apparently, Bella Campos didn't like the criticism she received on her social media about the look she wore to singer Preta Gil's party on Thursday (8), in Rio de Janeiro. The actress was labeled “tacky” when she was photographed wearing an oversized set consisting of knee-length shorts and a jacket with longer sleeves. The look was finished with a tight black blouse, a gold necklace with a pendant, black pumps and a black shoulder bag.

After the photos were released, Bella received praise from fans, but also a lot of criticism from those who considered the production disproportionate to the actress's body. Comments like “Hot face”, “Bella is beautiful, but those tacky clothes are not right” (sic) and “Why do beautiful, rich people wear tacky clothes?” (sic) could be read on his Instagram profile.

Visibly uncomfortable with the situation, the actress recorded a video responding to internet users' opinions about wearing sensual, low-cut and transparent clothes that receive positive reviews. “When a woman appears wearing clothes that 'don't enhance her body', such as oversized clothes, big t-shirts and so on, then she's tacky. Let's reflect on this?“, asked the actress.

Comparison with other women

The look also generated comparisons with other women, such as Slip Mami, the current girlfriend of MC Cabelinho, her ex. “Bella wasn't like that, I think she's trying to imitate her mommy,” said one internet user. The young actress gave another example of an empowered woman to be compared to. “Have you ever stopped to notice Billie Eilish's style? Research why she decided to wear baggy clothes”said Bella, showing that women should be free to choose the type and model of clothing that suits them without worrying about what other people think.
