After playing a character in “Veronika”, Belo will star in André Pellenz’s film

After playing the character “Paulista”, an honest and intelligent police officer, in the unprecedented series Veronika, on Globoplay, singer-songwriter Belo will now head to the cinema screens. In his new work, he will be paired with the protagonist, played by Evelyn Castro, in the feature film “Caindo na Real”.

Arrested in the 2000s for drug trafficking and association with drug trafficking, Belo was very moved by his role in Veronika, which promises scenes from real police institutions. The plot, which has Roberta Rodrigues as the protagonist, is scheduled to premiere in 2024. On the other hand, “Failing in Real” began recording this month, in Rio de Janeiro. With Rafael Portugal and Cezar Maracujá as protagonists, “Cosme and Damião almost saints” will follow the unusual and fun everyday lives of both, while “Caindo na Real” promises a humorous vibe with Evelyn Castro, who recently recorded the second season of “Encantado's”, by Globoplay.

Role as “Paulista”

In Veronika, Belo plays police officer Silvio Mendes, known as Paulista, and stars alongside Leticia Spiller. In the role, the actress plays delegate Marina Terra, in charge of combating organized crime. In his words, Belo defined his character as “a tough police officer who fights drugs”. Created by José Junior, the Globoplay series is directed by Vera Egypt and Silvio Guindane.
