After title, Gabigol announces his departure from Flamengo

Gabriel Barbosa announces his departure from Flamengo, this Sunday afternoon (10), after the club's victory in the Copa do Brasil with Athletico-MG, Gabigol who went through a somewhat troubled season, first with the anti-doping test that took place in March of that year, in July the decision in which he would be suspended for two years was annulled.

After the striker's announcement about his departure from Flamengo, Cruzeiro's board says that Gabigol is one of the club's biggest salary investments for the 2025 season, with Cruzeiro trying to get a place in the next CONMEBOL Libertadores.

The attacker jokes by saying: “I’m a Flamengo player until December 31st, now just enjoy”. Flamengo says it increased its renewal proposal with the player by 50% more than the initial proposal, which was not enough to keep the current idol at the Rio club.

The red-black team won 13 titles with the help of the striker, Gabriel Barbosa, together with Arrasascaeta and Bruno Henrique, they are equal with Zico and Júnior as the greatest champions in the history of the red-black team.
