After winning the 2023 Emmy, Elton John becomes EGOT

This Monday (15), Elton John managed to emerge victorious at the 2023 Emmys, after winning the live variety award, through his show “Elton John: Farewell from Dodger Stadium”, which was made in 2022, being broadcast on Disney +. As this was the only achievement he lacked within the United States entertainment industry, the artist became another EGOT, as he had already won the Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards in previous years, with five Grammys, including This is the biggest award in the music industry, two Oscars, which were acquired for the songs he wrote for the films “The Lion King” and “Rocketman” and a Tony, which he won for winning the musical “Aida. Now, winning the Emmy, the experienced British musician, aged 76, is the 19th EGOT (the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards form this acronym).
