This Tuesday (13), Rock in Rio announced the 'Rock in Rio Humanorama' project, a free digital event, which will take place on the 14th and 17th of September. The event aims open space to new perspectives and visions on some of the most complex topics in society.

The Vice President of Learning Experience at Rock in Rio, Agatha Arêas, explained a little about the event. “Rock in Rio Humanorama is a space for everyone who is willing to leave their own bubble to share and learn about different ideas, projects and visions. For those who are open to dialogue and looking to expand individual and collective consciousness.”

Following the music festival model, the event will feature four “stages” – Sou, Nós, Somos and Learning Experiences – dedicated to knowledge and development of human beings' capabilities to build a better future.

“Rock in Rio was created 36 years ago to give a voice to oppressed youth, who yearned for freedom of expression, and also with the aim of bringing economic impact to the country. We believed that by attracting big names in music we would be able to boost tourism which, in turn, would translate into revenue for the city. It is important to say that we have always believed in the philosophy that 'for us to be well, others must also be well' and it was this belief that motivated not only the creation of the festival itself but also the implementation of all the initiatives that throughout these more over three decades we have achieved, whether reforestation projects, equipping classrooms, installing solar panels in schools, among many others”explains Roberta Medina.
