Amber Heard understands the verdict that the jury reached in the trial between her and her ex Johnny Depp. The actress has given an interview about the aftermath of the case for the first time.

“I don’t blame them,” Heard said in the conversation, which airs Monday night (local time). “I even understand it. He is loved by the people and the public feels like they know him. He’s also a fantastic actor.”

The actress has less understanding for the many hate messages she has received via social media during the process. She doesn’t take it personally, but doesn’t think it’s fair that most of the negative messages are addressed to her and that Depp is supported.

“I don’t care what people think about me or what they think of what has happened in our private lives. The average person doesn’t know that at all. And that’s why I don’t take it personally,” says the Aquaman actress.

“But even if you think I’m lying, you can’t possibly say that the many hate messages are justified and that the ratio is not skewed (in terms of the negative messages about her and the positive ones about Depp, ed.).”

‘Jury was not neutral in court’

Earlier, the lawyer of the actress said that it was actually impossible for the jury to sit unbiased in court. “They went home every night, but those people have families and those families are on social media. It’s impossible that they haven’t been affected.”

On social media, Depp received an incredible amount of support, while Heard was lashed out at. Where the hashtag #IStandWithAmberHeard on TikTok has been viewed about 27.2 million times, #JusticeForJohnnyDepp stands at 20.3 billion times.
