Major global brands are undergoing changes in their presidencies. This is the case of Boeing, Nike and Starbucks, the period is a period of decreased sales and at the same time, increased competition in the United States. It is worth mentioning that the three companies mentioned are North American.

Each of them has a new CEO whose mission is to “put the house in order”. Documents reveal that the mission is not easy, it is common, and that new bosses must look for new ideas to oxygenate their companies. The fact that they are from completely different sectors also proves that no one is completely safe, no matter how consolidated the brand is.

Nike and Starbucks

Despite being located in different sectors, Nike and Starbucks saw their revenues collapse, the largest coffee chain in the world saw a 10% drop in sales in the USA and 14% in China. The impact was so great that the company chose to suspend its financial guidance until the end of 2024, seeking to give new CEO Brian Niccol time to put a plan into practice. And it seems that he already has an idea, despite it being embryonic, says CNN:

“We need to fundamentally change our strategy so we can grow again… People love Starbucks, but I've heard from some customers that we've moved away from our core.”

Nike lost 25% in shares, an alarming number for any business, compared to the previous quarter, it also fell 10% in revenue. Elliott Hill is the new head of the company that lost space to newcomers Hoka and On, as news, he announced that he will extend the agreement with the NBA and WNBA, the main men's and women's basketball leagues in the world, for 12 seasons.

Boeing

The aerospace multinational faces issues in addition to the recorded loss of US$6 billion in the third quarter, workers who have been on strike for six weeks rejected an offer from the company last Wednesday, (23). New CEO Kelly Ortberg took over in August, before this situation.

The recent history is terrible, with tragedies and convictions that ruined the company's reputation. At the beginning of the year, one of the plugs on a branded plane exploded in the air, and the situation does not yet have any prospects for improvement.
