Anahi returns to perform at RBD's last show in Brazil

After leaving the stage in the middle of the show on Friday (17), singer Anahí, from the group RBD, returned to perform on Sunday (19). The band performed eight shows in Brazil during this last tour, which took place in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Diagnosis

The member who was suffering from severe pain had to leave Allianz Parque and go straight to the hospital. According to the singer herself, she was diagnosed with a serious kidney infection and had to be hospitalized. “I spent several days with unbearable pain in my ribs and head.”, stated Anahí on Instagram. During the presentation, she thanked her companions – Christian, Christopher, Dulce Maria and Mayte – for their strength and said: “we are brothers”.

Farewell gift

Her stage companion, Dulce Maria, was moved and thanked the audience for their support and understanding in the face of the health problems faced by Anahí and herself, who had bronchitis towards the end of the “Soy Rebelde Tour”.

In one of the performances, Dulce wore the boots she received as a gift from singer Joelma, after Christian Chavez sang the hit “I'm going to have a tacacá” at one of Rebelde’s shows.

Last time in Brazil

The band thanked the Brazilian public and said they did not know when they would perform in Brazil again. RBD's last tour in Brazil took place between November and December 2008, in the group's farewell shows. That same year, they also recorded their last album live in São Paulo, with the same name as the tour “Goodbye Tour”.

The group that was formed after recording the soap opera Rebelde and debuted on Brazilian TV in August 2005 on SBT. The band's success came early on, with their debut album “Rebelde”, released in 2004. RBD made an impact not just as a band, but as a movement, a cultural phenomenon. They influenced young people to wear clothes similar to theirs, sing and became one of the most successful hits in Latin America.
