Andressa Suita speaks out after the arrest of Gusttavo Lima

Andressa Suita, wife of singer Gusttavo Lima, who had his arrest ordered by the Pernambuco Court, spoke out on Monday night (23). Through her social networks, the influencer shared a message of faith and strength, using a biblical verse. The statement comes after the countryman's name, known as “Ambassador”, came into the spotlight with the news of his arrest.

On his Instagram profile, Suita published Psalm 121: “I raise my eyes to the mountains and ask: 'Where does my help come from?'. My help comes from the Lord…”, a message interpreted as a demonstration of strength and solidarity amid the crisis faced by the country people.

Prison ordered

The Pernambuco Court ordered the arrest of singer Gusttavo Lima this Monday (23), as part of Operation Integration, which investigates crimes of money laundering and illegal gambling. Judge Andréa Calado da Cruz, responsible for the decision, also ordered the seizure of the artist's passport and his firearm registration, alleging an “alarming lack of consideration for justice” on the part of Gusttavo Lima.

Investigation and repercussion

Gusttavo Lima, who is in Miami, in the United States, was surprised by the arrest warrant after participating in Rock in Rio. The country singer and businessman Boris Maciel Padilha are being investigated in a scheme that, according to authorities, generated around R$3 billions through illegal activities. The operation, which is still in its initial phase and under secrecy, had already seized an aircraft belonging to the company Balada Eventos e Produções, of which the singer is a partner.

The news quickly spread across social media and media outlets, including being featured in Jornal Nacional (Globo). Gusttavo Lima's defense stated that the arrest is “totally contrary to the facts” and that he will take all appropriate legal measures to reverse the decision. The singer has already filed a request for habeas corpus at the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE).
