10° – Asta (Black Clover)

The reason Black Clover’s protagonist is hated by the community is that he is the essence of Shonen clichés. He is one of the most generic and predictable characters of all, in just a few seconds it is already possible to know that he is the main character.

9° – Near (Death Note)

Near entered Death Note only to be hated by fans. Barely showing up, he only came to finish the work. Having the impossible mission of replacing L and chasing Kira, the character did not please the fans, as everyone loved and still loves Detective L and his genius scenes.

8° – Zenitsu Agatsuma (Demon Slayer)

Okay, you might disagree with this one, after all, when the character is sleeping he manages to star in some of the most incredible action scenes in the anime.

But when he’s in his normal mode, Zenitsu is one of the most useless characters ever, he’s screaming, crying, screaming and making huge drama about it all, being more comic relief than a hunter. Because of this, his legion of fans is small, and his legion of haters is huge.

7° – Shinji Ikari (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

This character is the opposite of Asta, he doesn’t stand out at all and has a very weak personality compared to the series ‘ co-protagonists . Without determination or courage, he always seems to have low self-esteem and is always complaining about something.

He seems to be a young man with no world experience, and certainly a bad choice to star in the classic anime.

6° – Minoru Mineta (My Hero Academia)

My Hero Academia’s cast of characters is impressive, but some of them, or rather Mineta, shouldn’t be part of this crowd.

With a slightly bizarre individuality, he is just a pervert placed in the series to comment on women’s bodies, something like a comic relief and with a very exaggerated personality, which generated irritation and hatred in viewers.

5° – Danzo Shimura (Naruto Shippuden)

Danzo is hated by all Naruto fans , he is primarily responsible for the entire tragedy of the Uchiha clan, and not even his epic fight against Sasuke made the community like him.

Being a high-level schemer, he has futile motives and acts ruthlessly to achieve them.

4° – Sugou Nobuyuki (Sword Art Online)

For those who don’t remember, Sugou Nobuyuki is Asuna’s executioner in SAO. He simply kidnapped the girl and held her hostage in his game, planning to erase her memory and make her his personal slave.

He rips off the character’s clothes and humiliates her quite a bit, and even in the real world the character is no good, having abused Asuna while she was in a coma. There’s no reason not to hate him, the only good thing is the beating he gets from Kirito.

3° – Gabi Braun (Attack on Titan)

If you ask any Attack on Titan fan what the worst character is, they’ll answer Gabi right away. The girl killed Sasha.

She grew up to be a rebellious and shallow girl, since her introduction in the anime she was already making plans to kill her enemies. And even after changing her personality and gaining sympathy, she was not forgiven by fans.

And of course, she shot and decapitated Eren, causing him to become a monster titan with a gigantic head and spine.

2° – Sakazuki “Akainu” (One Piece)

He blew a hole in Ace.

During the war of the best in Marineford, Admiral Sakazuki decided to execute Luffy’s brother with his own hands, giving the beloved character a final blow.

Before that he had also fought against Kuzan and almost killed Koby, who was his ally.

Thus he managed to become the most hated character in one of the greatest anime in the world. And all the fans can’t wait for a battle in which Luffy kicks this horrible character’s ass.

1° – Shou Tucker (Fullmetal Alchemist)

If you’ve seen Fullmetal Alchemist you know who he is and what he’s done, and why he ranks number one among the most hated characters. If you haven’t seen it, follow the following story.

Edward and Alphonse found an alchemist who managed to make a chimera, he was the only one who had achieved this in the entire work and was trying to repeat the feat, he was known as the Alchemist who Sewed Life.

The alchemist in question was Shou Tucker, he had a daughter (Nina) and a dog (Alexander) and his wife had died a few years ago.

The Elric brothers talked to the alchemist, met his daughter and made friends, he seemed to be a good man, and the next day when they returned to his house, he had managed to repeat the feat, he created another chimera!

But when the chimera ended up speaking like their daughter Nina, the brothers realized that, in fact, the alchemist Shou Tucker was the worst person in the world.

He basically merged his young daughter with his dog, all in pursuit of fame and prestige among the Alchemists. The scene was shocking and unpleasant and to this day no other character has done something so heinous to be hated more than him.

Dishonorable Mention – Rachel (Tower of God)

The Tower of God character also deserves her place on this list for being one of the biggest backstabbers, cynics, and fakers in anime history. However, the anime adaptation of Manhwa still hasn’t shown all the bad things she’s done, and she’s not totally hated by fans of the anime. So we’ll just leave it as a dishonorable mention, until the anime adapts its cruel deeds.
