The world is involved! Collecting firsts, Anitta became the first Brazilian to perform in the UEFA Champions League final, which took place this Saturday (10).

The singer's show lasted approximately three minutes, enough for the girl from Rio to make history again and surprise the audience with her performance. Anitta sang her biggest hit, “Involve”and gave a spoiler of “Funk Rave”his new song.

“Funk Rave” is the artist's first work for her new label, Republic Records, and will be officially released on Thursday (22). The performance of the Rio native at the championship also officially marks the end of the era “Versions of Me”released in 2022. Below, see the main points about the era “Versions of Me”:

Previously, the album was to be titled “Girl From Rio”since it would be Anitta's first project entirely aimed at an international audience. However, after the single “Involve” reaching #1 on the global Spotify charts, the album changed its name to “Versions of Me”. Thanks to “Involve”the powerful singer earned a page in the record books for being the first Brazilian to reach first place on Spotify Global.

Anitta never hid her discontent with her former record label, Warner Records, regarding the lack of investment and promotion. Even so, the album earned the singer the awards Best Latin Song (VMAs), Best Latin Artist (EMA), Best Latin Artist (AMAs), La Coreo Más Hot (Premios Juventud) and Favorite Clip (Latin AMAs). In addition, the singer also became the first Brazilian to perform at these awards.

“Versions of Me” was the first Brazilian pop album to reach the one billion plays mark on Spotify. Hits like: “Envolver”, “Faking Love”, “Gata”, “Me Gusta”, “Boys Don't Cry” and “What a big ass” are present on the disk. “Boys Don't Cry” won a live version in the medley “Mother's Daughter X Boys Don't Cry” (Miley Cyrus feat. Anitta), featured in the audiovisual “ATTENTION: MILEY LIVE”.

Personalities such as Missy Elliott, Maluma, L7NNON, Maffio, A$AP Ferg, HARV, PEDRO SAMPAIO, Dadju, MC Pedrinho, Nicky Jam, Chencho Corleone, Ty Dolla $ing, Afro B, Khalid, Saweetie, Papatinho, MC Kevin o Chris, Mr. Catra, YG, Myke Towers and Cardi B make special appearances on the project. After publicly exposing Warner Records' disregard for her projects, Anitta became the first singer to “amicably” break a contract with an international record label.



Now on Republic Records, part of Universal Group, the Rio native is preparing her new studio album aimed entirely at an international audience. Anitta revealed that the project will be entirely funk and will have songs in two languages: English and Spanish. The singer's new album has been nicknamed by fans as “Funk Generation”.
