Anitta officially debuts her international tour with a show in Mexico

Singer Anitta began, this Saturday (18), her first world tour entitled “Baile Funk Experience”, scheduled for this year 2024. The artist will tour 13 countries in the coming months, until July. DJ and singer Pedro Sampaio announced on his social networks that he will open some shows on the tour. The first performance took place within the Teca Emblema 2024 festival, in Mexico City, which also featured performances by Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado at the same line-up of the event.

Stress about the show schedule

THE start from the “Baile Funk Experience” mega tour appeared to exceed Mexicans’ expectations. On stage, the song “Meiga e Abusada” thrilled the audience, who went wild with bold choreography, and new hits, such as “Grip”, “Sabana”, “Accepta” and “Savage Funk”. Even though she loves the new album and is excited about the performances, the singer declared that she is starting to “worst time of year” for her, because of the stress of the concert schedule. “Following my plan, the shows start here, in Mexico, I will wake up, as I have done every day, time to do my meditation…”, declared Anitta about her routine for the coming months.

Funk Generation

Anitta's new project, the album “Funk Generation” marks Anitta's debut on the Republic Records label. On her official Instagram account and press interviews, the singer has explained that the album celebrates her roots, by expressing the power of Rio funk. The rhythm born in the favelas is presented in each track, with unique, danceable and sensual beats, exalting resistance and art in all communities. The letters rhyme over the aggressive beats in this ambitious and true funk album, with nostalgic influences embedded in very current takes on Latin and North American pop. The result is a sound that could dictate the future of more commercial and international funk.
