Anitta steals the show at CORE, Sean Penn's charity event

Anitta has definitely gained her due recognition internationally. Last Wednesday (1), the presenter and composer attended a charity event in Miami, in the United States.

She participated in CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), a non-profit foundation created by actor, producer and filmmaker Sean Penn.

The Brazilian was the main attraction of the night and went on stage to sing several of her hits, such as I like it, Girl from Rio, Faking Love and Downtown.

At the charity event, Anitta also made her contribution: she donated the item “Carnival Experience with Anitta”, which was auctioned for US$ 110 thousand dollars, equivalent to R$ 626 thousand reais.

In addition to Anitta, actress Bruna Marquezine was seen alongside model Dylan Penn, daughter of Sean and Robin Wright, and designer Francisco Costa.

Sean Penn is an American actor, producer, film director, and screenwriter, and two-time Academy Award winner for Best Actor for “Mystic River” (2003) and “Milk” (2008). Penn has a history of political involvement in addressing the role of U.S. foreign policy, and attended the funeral of Hugo Chávez, the late former president of Venezuela, along with civil rights advocate and reverend Jesse Jackson, who participated alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. in the fight for black civil rights in the United States.

Penn is also the creator of a non-profit charity that is currently working to protect COVID-19 victims in South America. He not only supports vaccination, but also provides support to the sick and marginalized.
