Anvisa bans sale of Dori candies due to suspected salmonella

According to the manufacturer's announcement this Thursday (22), batches of 8 lines of possibly contaminated products, manufactured between June 21 and July 10, 2024, will be removed from the market. The alert was given to Avisa, by the brand itself, which published in the Official Gazette of the Union, this Monday (19), the specific batches that are prohibited from sale.
Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to contact customer service by phone: 0800 707 4077 or by email: [email protected]. This channel allows you to ask questions and request collection and/or refund of the product. Customer service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Dori claims that all products, including those listed below with other batches and expiration dates, are considered safe for consumption. In an announcement on its social media, the brand states that its facilities have already been decontaminated, concluding the entire cleaning process.

What is salmonella
According to the Ministry of Health website, Salmonella is a bacterium from the Enterobacteriaceae family that causes food poisoning. The most common symptoms are vomiting, abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea.
