Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber have both tipped the public of their charity works. The successful music collaboration titled ” Stuck With U” has raised $3.5 million for the First Responders Children’s Foundation.
In response to the charity exhibited by both Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, the president of philanthropy for SB projects, expressed in a statement:
“As the world was shutting down, we were looking for ways we could make a tangible impact as it has always been Scooter’s priority that SB Projects and our artists give back..”
He stated further:
“We were so thrilled to partner with the First Responders Children’s Foundation who have been supporting those on the frontlines of the pandemic, as well as their families. Over a year later, we are so proud to see how much has been raised and what has been accomplished. We thank the Foundation for their leadership and commitment to this work.”
The ballad song, “Stuck With U” was released during the covid-19 lockdown period, specifically on May 8, 2020.
The team, the manager of Scooter Braun’s SB Projects and Def Jam Recordings (Bieber) and Republic Records (Grande), collaborated to donate 100% of the proceeds from the song’s streams and sales to the foundation.
Subsequently, The First Responders Children’s Foundation redirected the funds accrued to thousands of families. Especially those who are beneficiaries of first responders.
The funds also included healthcare workers, paramedics, firefighters and EMTs who showed bravery in fighting the pandemic on the frontlines. These were all made in relation to Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s song.
Ariana Grande and Justing Bieber’s single ” Stick With U” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song lasted for weeks in the chart by having sold more that 108,000 in its first week of release.
A homemade video was made in order to accompany the released song. The video featured Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, as well as Kylie Jenner, Kanye West among many others.
The “Stuck With You Song” also won the 2020 MTV Music Awards for the best music video from home. Also, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber bagged another awards at the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards.
