Ariana Grande is back with the song “Yes, and?”

American singer Ariana Grande is back. A little over three years after releasing her last studio album and her last solo work with the deluxe edition of “Positions” in 2020, and taking a break from her career to finish filming the film “Wicked”, Grande returns with the announcement of her future album, called “Eternal Sunshine” which already features the release of the first song, “Yes, and?”.

The song was released in the early hours of Friday (12). The new single addresses the criticism that the singer has been suffering during this time of absence, whether due to rumors circulating on the internet or the singer's personal life. In fact, alongside the release of the single, Ariana Grande also released a teaser, where in the video music critics would be judging the singer for “don't wear a ponytail” and by “she is happy”.

About the album

Regarding the new album, it seems that it is inspired by the film of the same name, starring Jim Carrey (one of the singer's greatest idols) and Kate Winslet, where the protagonist, after going through a separation, tries to erase his love true to your memories. In fact, in the teaser, some coordinates appear, which lead exactly to Mountauk, the city in which the film takes place.

The film was also a favorite of artist Mac Miller, who passed away in 2018 and had a relationship with Ariana Grande and even after they were no longer together they remained friends.

This album will be the seventh studio album of the singer's career. According to herself, the cover of “Yes, and?” will be used as one of the covers of the album itself.
