The 48-year-old suspect has been captured yet is nursing wounds in emergency clinic in the wake of being attacked by local area individuals who responded subsequent to knowing about the occurrence.

Police representative Brigadier Leonard Hlathi said in an articulation that the man, who carries on a couple of houses from the old lady’s home, supposedly went to her home, tracked down her alone and assaulted her.

After the assault, the elderly person supposedly ran out of the house and towards the road similarly as her little girl showed up home with her male companion.

The girl saw that her mom looked scared and her male companion went to the house to explore why the older [woman] had ran out of the house.

Hlathi said the man showed up in absentia at the Emalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and the matter was delayed to Monday.

Acting common police magistrate Major General Thulani Phahla has invited the man’s capture however forewarned local area individuals against going rogue.
