Atlanta Hawks advance to Eastern Conference finals
Atlanta Hawks secured a spot in the Eastern Conference finals in the NBA on Sunday night (local time) for the first time in six years. Coach Nate McMillan’s formation settled in the deciding game with philadelphia 76ers: 103-96.
After six games, it was 3-3, so it took a seventh game to make a decision in the best-of-seven series. The Philadelphia 76ers could avoid a loss in the sixth game, but things went wrong Sunday night.
Kevin Huerter was the big man at Atalanta Hawks with 27 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Trae Young had 21 points and 10 assists. Joel Embiid was the most productive player with 31 points, 11 rebounds and three assists, but it wasn’t enough for the 76ers.
After the game, outstanding Young took off his shirt and walked into the stands to give it to his father. “A winning shirt. I wanted to win this race for my father on Father’s Day.”
