Barcelona stipulates R$250 million for Vitor Roque's transfer and inhibits Fiorentina

Barcelona demanded 40 million euros, equivalent to R$250 million, to transfer Vitor Roque to Fiorentina, a club from the city of Florence, Italy. This statement was made by Danilo Pradê, director of the Tuscan club, in a press conference on Friday afternoon (13).

“We tried to sign Vitor Roque, but Barcelona asked us for 40 million, impossible conditions at the time. Roque was the player we wanted the most, but for whom there were no conditions”said the sports manager.

With the arrival of coach Hansi Flick, the striker lost prestige within the squad, which is why the Catalan club tried to negotiate with Vitor Roque during the transfer window. With no acceptable offers, he ended up being loaned to Betis for the rest of the season.

Wearing the new team's shirt, he has already taken to the field twice: the first time against Real Madrid, and the second time yesterday (13), against Leganés, when he finally scored his first goal of the current season. In both cases, the player came off the bench.

For now, it doesn't come out

AFC Fiorentina made several signings for the 2024/25 season and for the center forward position they were targeting the Brazilian player, as the transfer did not materialize, they opted for Moise Kean, a 24-year-old striker who played for Juventus last season, for 13 million euros.

Returning to Vitor Roque, the Brazilian's contract with Barcelona runs until 2031 and, according to the Spanish press, the loan to Betis includes the option to renew for another year, that is, until 2026. There is also a clause stipulating a value as a purchase option: 25 million euros (R$ 155 million) fixed, corresponding to 80% of the player's economic rights. If the Italian club still wants him, it will only be in the next window: January 2025.
