Batman has a new preview released. Fight between the hero and the villain Riddler is highlighted

This Saturday (19), Batman got a new preview (to further raise fans' expectations), focused on showing the conflict between the Dark Knight (Robert Pattinson) and the villain Riddler (Paul Dano).

The newest feature film about Batman will be directed by Matt Reeves and features the talent of Robert Pattinson (Batman), Paul Dano (Riddler), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred) and Colin Farrell (Penguin).

The film is scheduled to premiere on March 3.

With all the trailers released, it became clear that the main villain of the new film will be the enigmatic Riddler. For those who don't know, the Riddler made his debut in the Batman comics on October 1, 1948. As his name suggests, the character likes riddles and puzzles, and it's no wonder his symbol is a question mark. Typically, the villain is depicted wearing a green suit and carrying a cane.

This name is the alter ego of Edward Nygma, an extremely curious guy from a very young age. He was born as Edward Nashton and does not come from a very present family. When he was still young, he was abused by his own father and his mother was not there when he needed her. Young Edward was a boy who was always irritating adults with all his doubts, which is why he was so bitter inside. When his school teacher sets a trivia challenge, Nygma sees what will be his great inspiration. And as expected, the boy is the winner, solving the challenge in less than 15 seconds.

When he became an adult, Edward had to face all of life's challenges and managed to find a simple, ordinary job. The routine irritated him too much, and he needed something more. It was at this time that Nygma decided to enter the world of crime, adopting his famous codename. All of his criminal acts were filled with riddles, puzzles and all kinds of puzzles. Soon, Edward became a success within the criminal world of Gotham City and attracted the attention of everyone, including Batman.

One of the greatest recognitions the Riddler received was due to an extremely complex bank robbery. Nygma's plan was so complicated that he needed help. However, the robbery did not go as planned thanks to Batman's intervention. Even though he prevented the robbery, the Dark Knight was unable to capture the villain, which earned him the reputation of being one of the only people who managed to escape from Batman.

Nygma's intellect and wealth were his greatest powers. He was never a prodigy when it came to strength, having to resort to money to protect himself.

Edward, because of his insanity, developed an obsession with Batman and one of the most famous stories is that of The Long Halloween, where the Riddler becomes an informant for Carmine Falcone and helps him in the plans of Gotham's crime lord.

Another famous story involves the Riddler and Ra's al Ghul. In the comic book titled “Batman: Hush”, the villain discovers he has terminal cancer and ends up creating the famous Lazarus Pit. In addition to curing him, diving into the waters of the pit helps him discover that Batman is, in reality, Bruce Wayne.
