Bayern defender Pavard sidelined with COVID-19 infection

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has been quarantined in the wake of testing positive for COVID-19, the German champions said on Thursday.

Bayern said he was disengaging at home and was feeling good.

The French World Cup champ is the most recent Bayern player to be sidelined by the disease. Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez had likewise been quarantined before, with the last two getting back to preparing this week.
