Ben Affleck after criticism
Ben Affleck has responded to the criticism that followed an interview with Howard Stern earlier this week. In it, the actor spoke about his failed marriage to Jennifer Garner. In Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 49-year-old actor now says that he would never talk badly about the mother of his children.
Affleck said in the interview with Stern that at the time of his marriage to Garner, he felt trapped and drank a bottle of whiskey every day.
He also stated that he was probably still drinking if Garner and he had not been divorced. He did not expect the criticism that his statements provoked.

On Kimmel’s talk show, the actor explains that he spoke with Stern for two hours and that the media then took statements out of context. “I’ve said that Jennifer and I have a lot of respect for each other and always put our kids first,” Affleck said. “And then it is said that I blame my ex-wife for my alcoholism and that I was trapped.
\ I am portrayed as the most terrible, insensitive man.”
Affleck says he is at peace with what is being said about him in the media, but draws a line when his children are brought in “I would never want my children to think that I speak badly about their mother,” said Affleck, who has two daughters and a son with Garner.
The actor is now in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez, with whom he was also together from 2002 to 2004.
