1. Midnight Sun (2018)

Katie Price (Bella Throne) has to stay at home because of her Xeroderma Pigmentosum disease. This disease prevented Katie from being exposed to the slightest sunlight. 

Because of that, Katie was forced to only be able to look at the man she liked since childhood, Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger) through the window. Until one day, Charlie overhears Katie’s sweet voice and starts approaching her.

The two of them fall in love with each other despite the big hurdle they have to go through, namely Charlie and Katie can only meet at night before sunrise.

2. Everything, Everything (2017)

Everything, Everything is lifted from the novel of the same name by Nicola Yoon. This film tells the story of a girl named Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) who has Severe Combined Iimmunodeficiency (SCID). The disease that attacks the immune system will make Maddy fall sick if exposed to bacteria or germs.

One day, Maddy accidentally runs into Olly (Nick Robinson), her new neighbor, whom she sees through the window. The two of them fell in love and tried to always meet. The closeness of the two certainly makes Maddy uncertain, whether to fight against his illness or refrain from meeting Olly.

3. The Choice (2016)

Starting from Gabby Holland (Teresa Palmer) ‘s dislike for her new neighbor who often throws parties until midnight, she finds many similarities between herself and Travis Shaw (Benjamin Walker). Gabby and Travis ended up seeing each other often because they felt comfortable with each other.

The problem arises because Gabby already has a lover who works as a doctor named Ryan McCarthy (Tom Welling). Not only that, Travis’s ex-lover, Monica (Alexandra Daddario), who suddenly returns to Travis’s life, complicates their problem.

A romantic love story will not be complete without a relationship between lovers of different social status. This is what is presented in the film  Endless Love . The film, which was released in 2014, is about Jade Butterfield (Brooke Shield) and David Elliot (Martin Hewitt). The two of them fell in love with each other while still in high school.

Their love story is hindered by wide differences in social status. David is the son of a widower who works as a mechanic with a modest income. Meanwhile, Jade is the son of a wealthy doctor’s family. Will these differences prevent the two of them from being together?

9. The Fault in Our Stars (2014)

This film is based on the novel written by John Green of the same name. This film tells the story of the struggle of a girl named Hazel who is bored with the routine she does every day that only deals with her cancer problem. But all changed when he met a man named Augustus “Gus” in a cancer support group. Played by Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace Lancaster and Ansel Elgort as Gus Waters, the film, which was released in 2014, seems to have made everyone cry.

8. About Time (2013)

Released in 2013,  About Time is a romantic film that you must watch. This film tells the story of Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) who has the ability to return to the past when he was 21 years old. The team uses this ability to find true love. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get it because no woman wanted him.

The team returns to the present and meets Marry (Rachel McAdams). Marry likes Tim and the two promise to have a more serious relationship. Unfortunately, Harry (Tom Hollander), Tim’s father’s best friend, is involved in a serious accident that causes Tim to return to the past. Can Tim and Marry stay together after Tim returns from the past?

This film, which is arguably quite old, has probably been seen before. The film titled 50 First Dates , played by Adam Sandler as Henry and Drew Barrymore as Lucy. This film tells the story of a woman who gets into a car accident and causes damage to her brain so that she loses her short -term memory . This film could be one of the best romantic films of all time that you can watch with your loved ones.

7. The Notebook (2004)

This film is adapted from the famous book by Nicholas Sparks of the same name. Taking the settings in the 1940s, Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) falls in love with 17-year-old heiress Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) after seeing him at a carnival. The best romantic film on this one is enough to describe in detail the atmosphere of romance in the 40s era.
