The Galaxy S21+ is a successful all-encompassing smartphone that has also been reduced in price compared to the S20+. You get a beautiful OLED screen, a very smooth and smooth Android experience and the camera is – as usual – very good. The device also has a renewed fingerprint scanner that we are very satisfied with.
Samsung has saved some money to make that lower price possible, such as with a lower resolution screen and not including a charger and earbuds.

Nevertheless, the smartphone has succeeded. Although the S21+ has not changed enormously compared to the S20+, the total package is attractive and is a very nice device to use.
Best Apple phone: iPhone 13
The improvements of iPhone 12 compared to the iPhone 13 are not very big, but the new device is a bit better. We still miss the telephoto camera and a screen that refreshes at 120 frames per second, but the battery life is long and the screen offers great colors.
The phone is light and compact, yet sturdy. Partly thanks to the long software support that Apple promises, this is a must. And with that our iPhone recommendation of the moment.
Good value for money: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
Samsung has made a lighter version of the high-end Galaxy S21 with the Galaxy S21 FE. That’s why we’re missing a few options, but they’re not essential. What remains is a polyhedron for a reasonable price. You do compromise on the appearance of the device: it looks a bit plastic-like and cheap, but it is water- and dust-tight.
In terms of battery life, this phone does not belong to the top: you can go a day with it, because we have measured a battery life when browsing of ten hours. Unfortunately, you need an old charger to charge this device, or it is necessary to purchase a new charger, because Samsung does not supply it.
A luxury option: iPhone 13 Pro Max (best smartphones )
Apple released four iPhones in 2021: a mini, a regular, a Pro and a Pro Max. Of these four smartphones, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the most luxurious device. No wonder that the device is also more expensive.
Compared to the iPhone 13 and 13 mini, the Pro models have additional options. For example, the screen has a refresh rate of 120 frames per second, just like with other expensive smartphones, and the camera is a bit better. Low-light photos are more beautiful, and you can take macro photos up close. The telephoto camera can zoom better.
The main advantage of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the unprecedentedly long battery life. No other high-end smartphone lasts that long. In combination with the very fast processor, smoothly working software with years of updates and the luxurious feel housing, the 13 Pro Max is our favorite in this segment.
