Bitcoin broke a new record of 94 million dollars, above 535 million reais. This increase may have been caused by a report that Donald Trump was in negotiations to buy the Crypto company Bakkt. And of course, with the election of the tycoon with the Republicans, investment in the sector strengthened. All these factors combined made crypto assets surpass the mark of more than 18 trillion reais for the first time in history.

Crypto Billionaires

A survey carried out by Forbes magazine emphasizes that 11 of the biggest billionaires in the world became rich 220 million reais due to investing in cryptos. A total of 24 billion dollars increased after September 1st, when bets on Trump's victory began. The Financial Times newspaper states that the United States president-elect's company, Trump Media And Technology Group, is increasingly close to acquiring all of Bakkt's shares.

According to Forbes, the gains with the highest percentages will come from publicly traded leaders who own high-risk stocks with links to bitcoin. The businessman who profited the most was Michael Saylor, who is president of MicroStrategy and a great pioneer of the currency. Saylor's company has the largest bitcoin reserve in the world, thus seeing its shares drop by 464% this year alone.

Trump's meetings with CEO

The week began with the Wall Street Journal saying that Trump was meeting privately with Brian Armstrong, CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange. Traders are betting that Trump's promised asset support would stave off a less restrictive regulatory regime, thereby boosting their investments.
