Biting fox U.S. parliament building captured and killed
The authorities in the American capital Washington on Tuesday captured and killed a fox that had bitten nine people in the days before in the vicinity of the Capitol, where the U.S. parliament is housed.
One of the fox’s victims was Ami Bera, a Democratic representative from the U.S. state of California. He said that he had to be vaccinated against tetanus and rabies after the bite.
The fox also bit a Politico reporter from behind in her ankle.

The fox was “captured and humanely euthanized” so that it could be tested for rabies. According to a spokesman for the local health service, it was an adult female.
Her young have been found and captured. Officials said they had not yet decided what to do with the animals.
No other foxes have been found on the grounds of the Capitol, but according to the health service, many foxes live in the city.
Officials are not taking action against healthy foxes, but the Capitol has asked citizens to report it when they see aggressive, sick or injured foxes.
