BLACKPINK surpasses 1.5 million pre-saves of “BORN PINK”

They came back with everything! The new album by the BLACKPINK girls is already a success, “BORN PINK” which arrives on the main digital platforms on September 16th, the album that marks BLACKPINK's long-awaited comeback, has already surpassed more than 1.5 million pre-saves.

According to YG Entertainment, pre-sales sales of BLACKPINK's second album exceeded 1.5 million copies in less than a week. The success is great and many expect the album to easily reach more than 2-3 million copies sold.

Still in pre-sale, “BORN PINK” has already set a new record that now has the biggest pre-sale of a K-Pop girl group on the Ktown4u store. The store is one of the most important in this segment. The pre-sales of “BORN PINK” surpassed that of “Girls”, by the aespa group, which had the record with a total pre-sales of 232 thousand units in the store.

The first single “PINK VENOM” from the new album will be released tomorrow (19), which has already had the music video teaser revealed. The launch is scheduled for 1 am (Brasília time), but beforehand Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie will do a live with fans. In the conversation, the girls will share about the recording of the MV and promised to give some spoilers for the album “BORN PINK”. The live broadcast will take place on BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel from 00:00. The ideal is to stay on the link, because it automatically directs you to the video for “PINK VENOM”, which will be released at 1am.

Officially announced in the first week of August, the single “PINK VENOM“ is receiving heavy promotion. The single that marks BLACKPINK's long-awaited comeback has already had conceptual photos, individual teasers and an MV teaser released.

Tourist spots around the world will be lit up to promote the music! Between August 18th and 21st, the following places will receive special lighting: the N Seoul Tower in Seoul, the Tokyo Tower in Tokyo, the Sinar Mas Plaza in Shanghai, the Central World in Bangkok, the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, and the Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, no Brazilian tourist attractions will be part of the action. Lighting times vary according to the respective time zones.

YG Entertainment has also announced the announcement of the world tour on the group's social media and so far 36 shows have been announced, with the first being on October 15th in Seoul until June 21st, 2023 in Auckland, New Zealand, new dates should be released over the months.
