BlackPink's music video recording has high production costs

BLACKPINK began filming a music video ahead of their comeback in August, anticipating the highest production cost ever.

According to YG Entertainment on the 26th, “Blackpink members (Jisoo, Jenny, Rose, Lisa) are currently in the middle of filming a music video” and “the highest production cost of all time was invested. He also said: “All processes are running smoothly as they have been systematically prepared according to a complete plan”.

Starting with their comeback in August, Blackpink plans to carry out new music projects one after another and go on their biggest world tour ever.

Earlier, YG Entertainment said, “Many intense-sounding songs like BLACKPINK were prepared for a long period of time” and “Large projects worthy of this status will continue“.

BLACKPINK's comeback as a whole is the first in about a year and ten months. They sequentially released the pre-release title ('How You Like That') in June 2020, the special collaboration soundtrack ('Ice Cream') in August, and the first full-length album 'THE ALBUM' in October.

At that time, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection spread, and although there were restrictions on activities, it drew an explosive response from global fans. As this comeback also foretold a slew of new music projects, attention is being drawn to BLACKPINK's stock accordingly.
