Brazilian fashion seeks to bring more and more national diversity
Designers around the world see Brazil as a country rich in diversity, including when it comes to fashion. And Brazilian fashion reinvents itself every day, as it does not need an identity and expresses the values of the culture and people; promoting representativeness by having different bodies, concepts and styles in their creations.
As a way of celebrating this identity, the colors and the Brazilian values, more and more national brands and stylists are starting to turn their eyes towards our country, seeing the riches that can be obtained here. Betting on materials, fabrics, volumes, straw, nets, lace and ribbons to compose a mosaic of textures as rich as the diversity of Brazil.
In addition, responsibility and commitment to our planet can also be seen in some collections, with a concern for more conscious consumption, quality and transparency with the public, even helping to raise awareness.
The Brazilian indigenous ancestry, in particular, in the indigenous and caboclas cultural matrices of the Amazon, is a source of inspiration for many stylists. Because there is strong representation in the work of artisans and designers.
Lino Villaventura, a Brazilian stylist with more than 40 years of career, is known for using organic and rustic fabrics in his productions, the fashion designer discovered that it was possible to create clothes and accessories with any type of material.
“The first piece I made in my life was made from such a different material, so simple, and it turned out to be such a sophisticated piece, that I imagined: I can transform everything in a luxurious way with less valued materials. And that’s it, I have it, thank God”, revealed.
The stylist is among the 34 Brazilian brands that are raising national fashion to the ultimate power. For brands, Brazilian diversity must be valued.
