Britney Spears Under Investigation for Alleged Battery

Britney Spears has been making negative waves in the past few months. Recently, it doesn’t appear better the previous ones. The singer according to report is currently under investigation for alleged battery.

The alleged incident Britney Spears was involved in is classified as a “very minor misdemeanor”. This statement was made by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. In the heat of the investigation however, Spears’ attorney denies the accusation.

The allegation was about Spears’ involvement in an alleged physical dispute with one of staffers in her California home. For precise description, she swiped a cell phone from one of her employees.

The following statement was released by Captain Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office:
“On Monday, at about 10:25 in the morning, there was a dispute between Ms. Spears and one of her staff members that occurred at Ms Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks. The staff member alleges that during that dispute, Ms. Spears battered her. Deputies conducted an investigation … and ultimately their reports will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of filing misdemeanor battery charges against Ms. Spears.”

Although there were no injuries, it’s still left to the D.A.’s office to decide whether to file charges against Britney Spears.

Britney Spears’ attorney general also disclosed to the media:
“This is overblown sensational tabloid fodder — nothing more than a manufactured ‘he said she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever. Anyone can make an accusation but this should have been closed immediately.”
