While Bruce Willis has just announced the end of his acting career due to a serious health problem, an alarming testimony concerning an anecdote of filming of a former collaborator of the star has just fallen.

Unfortunately, it says a lot about the state of health of the star of the saga Die Hard.

It was first director Mike Burns, who directed him in Race Against Death, released in 2021, who said he quickly realized that the artist had health concerns.

“After the first day of working with Bruce, I was able to personally realize that there was a big problem and I understood why I was asked to shorten his text,” he told the Los Angeles Times.

The Californian newspaper even reported a striking scene that allegedly took place on the set of the film. According to members of the film’s crew, Bruce Willis at one point said on set: “I know why you’re here, and I know why you’re here, but what am I doing here?” A moment that says a lot.

As a reminder, the legend of the cinema of the years 1990-2000 is suffering from aphasia, a serious cognitive disorder.

On BFMTV, the doctor Alain Ducardonnet had explained that a patient of aphasia “can no longer speak, no longer has language, so not only does he no longer express himself but he also has difficulties to understand what the other is saying“.

Bruce Willis will be on the big screen for the last time in 2022 in Chuck Russell’s Paradise City alongside his Pulp Fiction partner, John Travolta.
