Bruna Marquezine talks about breaking her contract with TV Globo

During an interview with the Poddelas podcast, Bruna Marquezine talked a little about her departure from TV Globo, the channel she has worked for since she was a child. Fans were shocked by the termination of her contract.

Bruna began by saying that it was really cool and that she had a very sincere conversation with the former director of Globo, Schroder: “For me, Globo was family, it was home! It was my biggest showcase and it gave me so many things!” She went on to say that she learned a lot while she was there, she learned everything she knows. She said that she is very grateful and that cycles are ending.

The actress continued: “What I could tell them is that I would not renew my contract in that format, exclusively.” The contract was for five years with total exclusivity, according to Bruna, “Because that format no longer made sense to me at that moment.” She added that everything was done with great care, affection and respect. She already had other things in mind that she preferred not to reveal because nothing was defined yet. Bruna says that it was done correctly and they have a good relationship today because of that.

This month, Bruna was chosen to join the cast of the film “Blue Beetle” in Hollywood. The actress is the first Brazilian to be part of a DC superhero film. She shared on Instagram a snippet of the video call she had with producer John Rickard when she received the news.

In the caption, Bruna wrote: “To be honest, I don't think I've realized it… Today I'm reliving all the feelings and emotions I felt that day and I still can't believe this is happening! But FINALLY I can share it with you! A BRAZILIAN in a DC superhero movie!? And that Brazilian is ME?” Bruna ended the post by thanking everyone.
