BTS achieves unprecedented feat with “Bad Decisions” in the Top 10 of the Hot 100

This Monday (15), an unprecedented event marked the beginning of the BTS boys' week. They became the first South Korean act to chart a total of ten songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The song “Bad Decisions” was released on August 5 and is a collaboration with Blanco, BTS's Jungkook, Jimin, V and Jungkook and Snoop Dogg.

The collaboration joins BTS's biggest hits in the Top 10 such as “My Universe”, alongside Coldplay, “Permission to Dance”, “Butter”, “Dynamite”, “Life Goes On”, “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren) Beat)” with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, “On”, Fake Love” and “Boy With Luv” with Halsey.

“Bad Decisions” as soon as it was released, was an absolute success on the iTunes charts in several countries around the world, reaching first place in at least 74 regions, including the United States, Canada, Sweden, Italy and Norway.

Billboard officially announced that BTS' “Bad Decisions” featuring Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg debuted at No. 10 on the Hot 100 with 66,000 units sold (the biggest pure sales week in the U.S. for any single released in 2022). Sales figures include 45,000 digital downloads, 16,000 sold on CD and 5,000 sold on cassette.

Billboard also revealed that the track has garnered 10.1 million streams and 3.1 million radio reach. This achievement marks Snoop Dogg's 12th top 10 hit on the Hot 100, while it marks BTS' 10th and second by Benny Blanco.

“Bad Decisions” also debuted on the latest Billboard Global 200 at No. 6, this week's highest new entry. The Seven Boys, who debuted as a hip-hop group in 2013 under a virtually unknown label, made their first big move on the Billboard charts in 2017, when their album “Love Yourself: Her” emerged at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. making it the biggest debut for a K-pop artist.

BTS's first entry into the Hot 100 was with the first single from the album “DNA” but the chart movements don't stop there. They showed their power and that the group would make history with their first English single, “Dynamite”, becoming the first to debut at the top in 2020.
