Camila Cabello to release song for “Ice Planet II” with Hans Zimmer

Singer Camila Cabello wrote the theme song for “Ice Planet II” in collaboration with Oscar Hans Zimmer. The song will be featured in the series’ extended trailer. The track “Take Me Back Home“ will be released with the trailer next Friday (26) on BBC Radio 1 during the Greg James Show.

“To be able to combine my passion for the planet we live on and my music is a dream come true – never mind also getting to work with the legend that is Hans Zimmer.“, said the singer and actress in an interview with Variety. Camila continues saying: “Sir David's narration is deeply powerful as we try to protect these incredible ecosystems from global warming..”

“Ice Planet” is a sequel to the 2011 series and will have six episodes set in the icy regions of the planet, produced by the BBC’s Natural History Unit.

Coming to Brazil

The artist will come to Brazil to perform solo shows in São Paulo and at Rock in Rio on September 10. Camila will perform on the world stage. On social media, the singer asked her fans for song suggestions to sing at the festival.

Camila released her bilingual album “Familia” in April this year with a total of 12 tracks and collaborations with artists such as Ed Sheeran on the track “Bam Bam”, WILLOW on “Psychofreak”, Maria Becerra on “Hasta Los Dientes” and Yotuel on “Lola”.

The singer recently joined the judging panel for the 22nd season of The Voice USA alongside singers Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Blake Shelton. The show is set to premiere on September 19.
