Carlos Alberto Nóbrega undergoes surgery to remove blood clot in his head

This Thursday (14), at 6 pm, Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega will perform a new surgery to remove a blood clot in his head. The procedure is considered minor and the presenter is already admitted to Hospital Sírio Libanes in São Paulo.

The 87-year-old comedian continues to undergo some tests during his hospitalization. The clot originated due to Carlos Alberto's fall at his country house in November this year.

The surgery

“It's two little holes, simple. The prediction that the doctors give is three days in hospital, and then discharge. The only delicate thing is general anesthesia, due to his age”said the son of the SBT presenter, Marcelo de Nóbrega.

As described by Marcelo, despite the risk due to Carlos' age, the surgery is considered non-invasive, as they will drain the blood in the head and then a suture will be placed.

Despite having to rest for a certain period of time after carrying out the operation, Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega will be able to be seen on television, because according to Silvio Santos' broadcaster, the presenter has already recorded the programs that will be shown in January 2024.

Carlos' daughter, Maria Fernanda Nóbrega, wrote on her Instagram that everything is fine with her father and that the surgery will be carried out following the doctors' recommendation. In addition, she stated that she will not follow the operation in São Paulo because the presenter himself asked that She didn't go there.

Hospitalizations this year

It is not Carlos Alberto's first hospitalization in 2023. Later this year, the presenter was already in the hospital to treat a lung infection, on this occasion he was discharged in September.

In November, Carlos tripped on his slipper and fell down the stairs, hitting his head and forming a blood clot, as well as cracking a rib due to the fall.
