(CCXP23) Zack Snyder and the cast of “Rebel Moon” hold the first screening of the film

It came and it came with everything! After ten years of waiting, as it has been awaited since the first edition, film director Zack Snyder came to CCXP23 for a special reason. Accompanied by the cast and crew, the filmmaker held an exclusive screening of his new film in partnership with Netflix, “Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girl”, on the Thunder stage. The fans present participated in a historic moment, this being the first screening of the film worldwide.

Zack Snyder was the big attraction on the second day of CCXP

Are film directors pop idols? North American Zack Snyder proves that yes, by completely dominating the second day of CCXP23. Before the scheduled panel time on the Thunder stage at 5:30 pm, Snyder walked around the São Paulo Expo, took photos with dozens of fans, exuding friendliness, and visited the Netflix activations, dedicated to the partnership feature.

Exclusive screening on the Thunder stage

The main panel on the second day of CCXP was “Rebel Moon” and no wonder. Complete with an LED necklace and lots of interaction between director and cast, Zack Snyder received a standing ovation with screams so loud that they were able to drown out the presenter's voice (and she was wearing a microphone). During the dynamic, the actors came up one by one to talk about the production, praise the director and reveal that CCXP is the best comic-con they have ever been to in their lives. Then it was time for the big and long-awaited debut, but it didn't stop there. After the film, the director revealed a teaser for Part 2, unprecedented even for the cast itself.

Next stop: Omelete Stage

As usual, after visiting Thunder, the cast of “Rebel Moon”, the director and the film's team went to the Omelete stage. The first to enter and draw screams from the audience were actors Sofia Boutella and Ed Skrein, who play Kora and Atticus Noble, respectively the protagonist and the villain of the plot. The duo praised Snyder's professionalism and care for his characters.

Ed stated that despite having participated in major productions, none reached the level of “Rebel Moon”, and that the director makes a point of valuing and bringing layers to all the personas, including the antagonist. The actor characterized his character as cold, sadistic and unscrupulous. He stated that he hated Noble, that he was happy to have already expelled all the bad particles that the character left in him, and that it was very difficult to deal with so much evil.

Sofia Boutella revealed that to play Kora she had to follow a strict training and diet routine, to be able to perform the different fight scenes, which she claims are more like choreography. The artist stated that the public will get to know Kora in greater depth in the second film in the franchise.

The next cast members to take the stage were actors Charlie Hunnam, who plays Kai, Staz Nair, who will play Tarak, and Djimon Hounsou, General Titus. Staz, who has a Portuguese wife, spoke very Brazilian Portuguese and used common slang here to interact with the presenters and audience, such as “Calm down, my son!”, “Stop, stop!”, ending with an excited “Let's take photos !” before heading down to meet the fans surrounding the Omelete stage.

But the other highlight of the night was the fact that Snyder literally jumped from the stage into the audience to meet the dozens of fans eagerly waiting to see him. Closing the second night of CCXP23 in style.
