Chanel resort show launches cool trend à la Los Angeles

Gaiters, metallic, logomania and pastel tones were some of the great protagonists of the Chanel resort 2024 show. The aura of sport and adventure in Virginie Viard’s collection could not have more synergy with the city that hosted the show. Los Angeles, in the US state of California, was the ideal setting to present the season’s fashion trends to the world.

The teaser of cruise collection already showed the whole vibe of no pain, no gain when he recreated workout scenes in the style of Cindy Crawford with the maison’s ambassador, Alma Jodorowsky. This whole mood was reflected not only on the catwalk, but throughout the parade’s scenic apparatus. Upon arrival, the guests were faced with a court and bleachers, where they sat and could see the Chanel fashion show.

There were still typical stadium floodlights and an electronic scoreboard. The models descended from stairs typical of skateparks that led directly to the runway. The French stylist and creative director of the brand, Virginie Viard, recreated the Hollywood imaginary, surrounded by palm trees and skates by the sea, in 71 looks that make the season’s fashionista tone clear.
