Check out 10 trends that will continue to be on the rise in 2025

With the end of the year approaching and 2025 in sight, the fashion platform Stylight carried out a survey of the most searched terms in the last months of 2024. This year there was a huge increase in fashion street stylealso including Boho Chic, Quit Luxury and Nerd Style. One of the most searched colors this year was burgundy, and it also promises to remain in fashion trends for 2025. Check out now which trends promise to remain high for next year.

Burgundy and brown

Warm, earthy colors were the most searched for in 2024. Burgundy, reminiscent of an elegant wine, and brown, with a warmer tone than black and equally versatile. This is also confirmed in the choice of the color of 2025, with brown being chosen.

Suit

The suit is one of the most versatile pieces in the world of fashion, and can be worn on a daily basis or on a more formal occasion. According to Stylight there was a 21% increase in searches for the term. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Zendaya have already been photographed wearing the suit, showing the versatility of the piece.

Puma Speedcat

There was a 25% increase in searches for footwear. Perhaps this happened after celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner were seen wearing the shoes. Initially the shoe was designed for Formula 1 drivers in 1988, the sneaker ended up conquering much more than the race tracks.

Bucket bag

Celebrities such as Selena Gomes and Taylor Swift have been photographed with this bag, and the model has also appeared in Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci fashion shows. Bucket bag shows that larger bag models are here to stay, with a 25% increase in terms searched.

Suede

Suede is a fabric made from leather, which has a velvety surface. Some brands like Chloé brought back suede, causing the search for the term to increase as well. As it is a versatile fabric, it can be used both in clothing items, such as jackets, and in accessories, such as shoes and bags.

Craft works

Handmade has been increasingly sought after by people. And here in Brazil, artisanal work dominated the last São Paulo Fashion Week with lace, crochet, ruffles and applications. If before handmade fashion was not considered luxurious, today the opposite is thought. This return to handmade is mainly due to consumers, who are increasingly concerned about sustainability and valuing handmade work.

Polo sweater

The polo sweater saw a 71% increase in searches, according to Stylight. With its versatility, it can be used on different occasions, as well as being a piece that is easy to combine, and can be used with a cardigan, as well as combining with trousers, skirts or shorts.

Barn jacket

The piece, characterized by pockets and collars, has a more robust cut. Previously, widely used by farmers in England, the piece won over fashionistas and celebrities. Among these celebrities are presenter and model Alexa Chung and also Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

Pencil Skirt

Fashion is cyclical, and as something cyclical, many things always come back. Widely used in the 1960s, this classic is back on the streets and catwalks. According to Stylight, there was an 11% increase in searches for the term. Unlike before, the pencil skirt is more modern, with different fabrics and cuts, but still versatile and elegant.

Talking about accessories, amulets are on the rise, and will continue to be so in 2025. Firstly, this trend came with Balenciaga and Miu Miu shows, reaching street style.

Pendants and amulets usually come in larger sizes, decorating and giving a unique touch to bags. Furthermore, they also demonstrate a personal touch, making each bag unique.
